„In 2024, approximately 200 km were put into circulation. If the planets were aligned, we could reach 300 km in 2025, but at least 200 km are achievable. Then I say that a normal year would bring us around 250 km of motorway and expressway put into circulation this year, which certainly represents a record,” said Sorin Grindeanu at the National Conference „Romania, finally on the road. Road Infrastructure 2025: Challenges and Opportunities”, organized by Antena 3 CNN.
The Minister of Transport announced that in the first half of this year, uninterrupted traffic on the motorway between Craiova and Constanța will be possible, with the completion of two important segments.
„In the first half of this year, we will only be able to travel on the highway from Craiova to Constanța. The 10 km section from Albota to the A1 will be completed, as well as the remaining 17 km on Lot 3 A0 South, sometime in May,” Grindeanu said.
According to the minister, these works will allow for a complete connection between Craiova and Constanța, exclusively on the highway.
